A report is a set of metrics + slices. It is a "data product container" that can map to dashboards, semantic views, or on-demand answers.

A report groups specific metrics with specific slices, defining a coherent analytical view.

Period

Reports include a reporting period that specifies the time context for the included metrics.

Reports as data products

Reports can manifest as:

• Dashboards
• Semantic views (for Snowflake or other platforms)
• On-demand answering experiences (e.g., Cortex-powered)
